So here is the very start of the USC quilt project. Things have been going very well for me as far as quilting goes. I forgot how much I missed it! This one will be as exciting as my last 2 for different reasons. I plan on doing a 9 patch with the 2 USC prints and use the red to fill it in and give it added length and width. This will not be a huge quilt as the person who requested it wants it more as a lap or throw blanket. Ok, off to the cutting table! Here we go.....................

Quilt Pieces together, now on to border....

As you can see, I have added the sashing between all the squares, connecting them all together. This has been a bit of a challenge for me, as the squares were not all even. It has been a FUN challenge though! I would do it again in a heartbeat! Now its on to adding the sash around the outside to frame the whole thing, and then the bias! I'm getting closer! =}

Progress on Sampler Quilt Blocks Quilt...
So here are some pictures of my progress of my Sampler Quilt Blocks Quilt. I have now added the sashing under each square, resulting in two rows of four squares. Remember, the difficulty of this project was the fact that she had already done the quilt sandwich and the hand quilting on each block. This means I have to add the sashing, batting, and backing all together, and make it look like it belongs and hide all seams so it looks uniform. I have come up with an interesting way of doing this while trying to make it have a stich-in-the-ditch look to it.

Sampler Quilt Squares
These are 4 of 8 squares someone did a while back. She has given them to me to turn them into a completed quilt. She hand quilted all of these Sampler Squares. They are really quite amazing, especially since they were her first ones! She has the Dutch Boy, the Oak Leaf, a Dove or Love Bird, and a 9 patch with Butterflies. I really can't wait to finish this for her and hope she will enjoy it. If anyone has ideas or suggestions to make this easier please let me know.
